Since the day started pretty cloudy we decided to switch to shopping-sightseeing-hybrid mode and went to Covent Garden with its market hall and its pretty shops. Around the market hall there were a few street artists doing all kinds of stuff, from music and comedy up to artistical stuff.

In the late afternoon we walked down to the Thames and onward to Buckingham Palace.

Visiting Camden Market was quite an experience. We walked a few hours through all the stables and enjoyed the interesting atmosphere at this place. We had lunch in one of the countless booths and bought some nice presents.

On the way back home we took a walk through the lovely Regents Park enjoying the gorgeous weather.

Finally she arrived. On wendsday I picked up Andrea on the London City Airport from where we went happily straight to my home in East Acton.
Starting at the Tower of London in the late afternoon we walked accross the Thames over the Tower Bridge.

The pier at the Buttler’s Wharf with its nice restaurants.

From there we walked along the Thames towards the London Bridge.

Our next stop was at St. Pauls Cathedral which left a deep impression on both of us.

Back by bus at Trafalgar Square we walked down to the Thames passing the London Eye and Big Ben in Westminster.

Last but not least we went to Soho crossing the famouse Piccadilly Circus.

Today it was beautifull weather here in London, so I went out to explore the area around here. After a sneak peak at the map I decided to visit the Ravenscourt park and the area of Hammersmith.

Finally I moved in. It was a hard day, especially because I was on nightshift and got only 3 hours of sleep. But, I don’t want to complain. I have my own bed now. That’s most important.

I went out for a walk, originally to see my new neighbourhood where I’ll be moving to on thursday.

Once I was there and saw a sign which pointed towards Notting Hill, I decided to keep on walking. So I walked down the beautifull Holland Park Avenu to Notting Hill Gate and a bit further. This city really has some beautifull places.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find Hugh.

Since I forgot my phone at MPC I had to go to Soho anyway. Beeing there I decided to do a little sightseeing and I started walking around. My first target was Piccadilly Circus and hell was it crowded… I think the last time I saw that many people per square meter was on the Robby Williams concert

From there I walked to Leicester Square where I’ve allready been on thursday for a screening of recent MPC works. I walked back to Piccadilly Circus and further down Regent Street where I made a breake in the hughe Apple Store. I’ve never seen such a crowded Apple Store… That day I understood what Ronald Reng meant by writing “London is swinging”.

Leaving early on monday I went straight to MPC. Together with two other chaps, one from Australia and one from Italy, I joined MPC.

I also found a shared flat in Acton, West London where I’ll be moving in next month.
